What we collect

FairTime collects only the information you enter into the planner: participant names, time zones, and working-hours preferences. The free tier requires no account — no email, no password. If you subscribe to a paid plan, we store the email you use at Stripe checkout to link the subscription, but we never store passwords.

Accounts and how they work

FairTime has no traditional login. The free tier is 100% anonymous. Paid plans (Pro, Teams) are identified by the email you provide before Stripe checkout — you manage cancellations, payment methods, and invoices through Stripe's billing portal, not through a FairTime account. There are no passwords to remember or lose. We store your subscription email and a one-way Stripe-provided card fingerprint solely to manage billing and to enforce a one-time 14-day Pro trial per user (so the same person can't repeatedly restart the trial). The fingerprint is a non-reversible identifier — we never see or store your card number.

Fairness history

The "recent searches" and fairness history shown in the planner live entirely in your browser's localStorage. They are never sent to our servers. If you switch device or clear browser data, the history starts fresh.

How we use it

Meeting data is used solely to compute and display ranked meeting times. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data retention

Meetings and their results are stored for 90 days from the date of creation, after which they are automatically deleted. Share links expire accordingly. Subscription records are kept while the subscription is active, plus the retention period Stripe requires for financial records.

Tracking and analytics

FairTime does not use third-party tracking scripts, advertising networks, or behavioural analytics. We do not use cookies beyond what is strictly necessary for the service to function.

Google Calendar integration

If you choose to connect FairTime to Google Calendar, we request only the minimum scope needed to create events (calendar.events) — we never read your existing events. Google provides us with a refresh token that we store as an httpOnly cookie in your browser for up to 180 days. We do not copy the token to any server-side database. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions page: myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Your rights (GDPR / LOPDGDD)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with comparable data-protection rules, you have the following rights over the personal data FairTime holds about you:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — ask us to delete your data. Free-tier meeting data is deleted automatically after 90 days; subscription records are kept while the subscription is active, plus what Stripe requires for financial records.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to specific uses of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below with the subject "Privacy request". We respond within 30 calendar days as required by law.

If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data-protection authority (in Spain: Agencia Española de Protección de Datos — AEPD).
